Composer/ Playwright/ Entertainer Cara Freedman is well known throughout San Diego where she started her career. She has an excellent reputation as a consummate professional in the music business and is highly lauded as a composer and playwright. She has written eight rock musicals that made their debut in San Diego, California, with the nationally acclaimed SHOW B.I.S. Children's Theatre company. These full-length musicals have been performed at many locations throughout the United States including New York and Dallas. Her faith- based, award-winning musicals have been featured on local radio and TV programs, in national magazines and in numerous news sites and even at Disneyland!
Cara has performed in bands playing guitar and singing lead vocals as well as entertaining large crowds as a solo act. She loves performing for grandparents and seniors and has taught herself the "Great American Songbook" (hits from the 20's -'70's.) for entertaining seniors. She started at one assisted living community and soon had a monthly rotation of 31 senior homes in San Diego until Covid hit. Having moved to Texas, Cara is looking forward to continuing to sing and dance with seniors all over the DFW area.
Currently teaching music, theater, dance and singing with a variety of schools on a weekly basis in Dallas keeps her involved in the community. Cara's greatest achievement is being the proud mother of AMAZING triplets, Evan, Jordan and Alexa. She lives in Rockwall, Texas with her wonderful husband James and loves to garden and swim.
